Frederiksberggade is the first part of Strøget stretching all the way from Rådhuspladsen (the Town Hall Square) to Nytorv and Gammeltorv. This is the perfect pitch in terms of footfall and easy access provided by metro station at Rådhuspladsen among others.
This part of Strøget holds various domestic and international retailers as well as F&B concepts. Nearby neighbours include Skechers, Vero Moda, Sportmaster, Change, Rhanders – and JD Sports, Neye, Jack & Jones, New Yorker, Glitter, Creme Fraiche and the only Pharmacy in Strøget can be found in the street as well. Most recently Sunset Boulevard has signed a lease in no. 25 and other F&B concepts are Hereford, Lagkagehuset, Buka / District Tonkin just to name a few.
A major retail project in no. 2-4 – the Bestseller House – is worth mentioning. The entire property has been stripped out leaving no more than the frontage of the property. The project should be completed within a year’s time and its final occupant is yet to be disclosed. The majority of the property owners in Frederiksberggade (21 out of 28) has joined forces to form BID Frederiksberggade (Business Improvement District) with the purpose of revitalising the street including a more inviting environment with benches, plants, new lights and pavement over time. The municipalities have accepted to contribute to the investment and are focused to heighten the impression of the “Gate to Strøget”.
Frederiksberggade has a very intensive footfall – probably one of the highest in the Copenhagen high-street environment. During 2023, Frederiksberggade has had more than 13 mio. visitors which equals app. 36.000 on average on a daily basis.
Frederiksberggade 25A is well located in this intensive stretch of Strøget – holding a unique retail opportunity.
