The southern part of Købmagergade from Strøget to the Round Tower (Rundetårn) has improved dramatically since the Municipality changed the pavement in the street stretching from Nørreport Station to Strøget.
Since the construction works finished in 2013, the street has attracted numerous domestic and international retailers including Prada, Valentino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, Lantan, Golden Goose Deluxe Brand, Superdry, Sandro, The North Face, Rituals Cosmetics, Joe & The Juice, H&M Home, Arket, Sephora, Asics, Pilgrim, Zwilling, Booztlet.com, Weekday, Size? and Moscot.
Besides the new pavement, two major projects have been the key driver for this positive development; LaRinacentes extensive refurbishment and reconfiguration of the Illum Department Store and pension fund PFA’s conversion of the former post office building (Postgaarden) into retail.
